Editor at barakhabar.com Ranjan Yadav was mistreated while reporting in Bara on November 24. Bara lies in Madhesh Province of Nepal.

Freedom Forum's representative for the province reported that journalist Yadav was abused while reporting on the construction of illegal structures at a marketplace in Jeetpur Submetropolitan city ward number 7. As Yadav was taking photos and videos of the site, ward chairperson Sunil Gupta shouted at him saying why he took pictures of the place without his permission and seized his mobile phone. Chairperson Gupta returned journalist's mobile phone at District Police Office on November 27.
