A group of people vandalized the publication house of ‘Ganarajya Weekly’ in Itahari of Sunsari district in the eastern part of Nepal on April 14, Tuesday. The attack was made by the persons whose names were published in one of the news reports dealing with the theme of increasing market of land brokers and sex in Itahari.
They told when they tried to know about the fact through telephone; the editor of the weekly, P.B Diyali threatened them of severing their heads.
The irate group also accused Diyali of issuing threats and demanding money from time to time. Diyali, being displaced from the working area because of the security reasons, has fled from Itahari.
Freedom Forum deplores the incident of attack on the media house. It asks the local administration to pull out the fact into light.
