Puran Prasad Bista, senior correspondent for Republica Daily was looted and attacked with sharp weapon by an unidentified group. The group looted 11 thousand rupees along with his mobile-set. In the attack, he sustained serious injury in his neck.
Journalist Bista was attacked while he was returning to his home in the evening at around 9.15 in Bhadrakali, Kathmandu.
Freedom Forum condemns the incident against journalist and asks the government to investigate the incident with out any delay.
