Freedom Forum's attention was drawn towards an incident of press freedom violation occurred in Khotang, a hilly district in the eastern part of the country, on April 5, 2011.
Journalist Parshuram Dhimal associated with a local Rupakota radio in the district was misbehaved by village committee secretary of the UCPN-Maoist Bholanath Phuyal accusing the former of airing the news about the financial irregularities regarding the distribution of fertilizer by Mattim Agriculture Service Centre.
Freedom forum condems such press violation incidents and hope to not witness such incidents in future.
