Yet again, Freedom Forum's attention has been drawn towards an incident occurred in the Capital on 26 April 2011.
Armed Police Force (APF) personnel misbehaved with senior journalist Yubaraj Ghimire while he was conversing with his friends outside the US embassy's recreation centre at Katipath in Kathmandu.
The APF staffers first shoved Mr Ghimire asking him to leave the place and ended up slapping him as he asked why one could not stand in a public place, reported a national daily, Republica published from Kathmandu.
Freedom Forum expresses concern over the gross and disrespectful behaviour meted out on senior journalist Ghimire by the APF staffers. They could rather be polite and inform him earlier if he could not stand there. The security persons need to show courtesy towards respected person.
