Freedom Forum has been concerned over a robbery occurred in the office of a weekly in the capital city on March 6, 2012.
A group of thieves broke into the office of the Dristhti weekly on the night of March 6 and took away computer hardware, said the National News Agency (RSS), quoting Editor of the weekly, Shambhu Shrestha.
The sources further said the group made off with a hard disk containing all documents of the weekly; however, other documents inside the room were untouched.
The loot seems coordinated and has obviously disrupted the newspaper service thereby making people deprived of their right to information.
Therefore, Freedom Forum urges the concerned authorities to investigative into the incident and bring to book the culprit involved in the loot.
