SEPTEMBER 03, 2008 CPN (Maoist) Dailekh district committee secretary Karna Bahadur Basnet expressed anger at slain journalist Dekendra Raj Thapa’s wife Laxmi for lodging the complaint in the District Police Office seeking punishment against the guilty of the murder of her husband.
Issuing a press release, Secretary Basnet has even warned against any probe into the killing and said that it was unpleasant to bring old incident into fore, according to The Himalayan Times, a national daily.
Thapa was killed by four years ago by CPN (Maoist) cadre and his body was exhumed a month ago on the initiative of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ).
Thapa’s wife had filed a first information report in the District Police against four Maoist cadres a few days ago.
