A group of youths were arrested for protesting against the ruling government in Kathmandu on August 3. The youth were arrested during protest infront of the Federal Parliament.
The youths were protesting in front of the parliament showing placards against the government's decision to reappoint the finance minister Janardhan Sharma amid allegations for modifying budget illegally.
Freedom Forum condemns the incident as it is severe violation of citizen's right to peaceful protest. Citizens have every right to protest peacefully and criticize about the government's misconduct. Hence, FF strongly urges the concerned authority to respect their fundamental rights.
