Nepali media and media workers faced unprecedented attacks and atrocities from various sides this year too. Because of the fluid and unstable political situation, threats and attacks on media outlets and journalists grew significantly with the emergence of some new trends mainly effect of party split in media, media merger, and pressure of sectarian/communal interests on media.
