A group of miscreants beaten up journalist Krishna Hari Ghimire

Journalists in various parts of the country were misbehaved and attacked in the course of Free Students' Union Elections (FSU) elections held on March 19, Thursday.  adres of All Nepal National Independent Student Union (Revolutionary), a student union associated to the ruling Unified CPN (Maoist),   misbehaved with the reporters in Bidur, headquarters of Nuwakot district on Thursday morning. 

The reporters were there for reporting on the elections. In protest of the assault, reporters based in Nuwakot jointly declared that they would not publish any news related to All Nepal National Independent Student Union (Revolutionary) and the Unified CPN (Maoist) for a week. 

A group of miscreants severely beaten up journalist and Chairperson of Radio Sindhuligadhi Krishna Hari Ghimire and Shanker Karki of Avenues Television in Sindhuli district headquarters Sindhuligadhi on Thursday. 

They were manhandled while they reached there to observe the elections. Journalist Ghimire sustained serious head injury and was rushed to the capital city for the treatment same day. The same group was also said to have ransacked office building of Sindhuli Post Weekly.
