September 25, 2013, sports journalists were barred from entering a stadium to report and visualize boxing and football competitions in the capital city on September 25, 2013. A dozen of journalists were barred from entering the stadium despite they showed identity cards along with the pass issued by football association.
Freedom Forum condemns both of these incidents which are against press freedom and citizen's right to information. Freedom Forum therefore urges the concerned authorities and the person not to violate people's fundamental right of press freedom and of right to information. Such incidents are against professional journalism.
